Growing up in a small town with one stop light in Massachusetts, Sarah was surrounded by small businesses. More intimately, her Dad owned a construction company and the family home landline doubled as the business line as well.

Sarah's Dad and Aunt were members of the town's business association and for many years across childhood, she met and interacted with other local business owners through her family.

 

On top of small business dealings, both of Sarah's parents were highly involved philanthropically in town. From the Mothers' Club to the building the town bandstand to raising money to build a playground - Sarah tagged along and helped with events and fundraising from a very young age.

As Sarah progressed through school, she was always happy to join committees and organizations to volunteer her time and energy. This continued through college and into her professional and adult life.
